Paul Stahl's Obituary - 2016
Paul Stahl was one of the super-stars to represent the Cartierville Boating Club locally, at the Nationals (Dominion Championships) and at the Tokyo Olympics.
He was the Canadian National Canoe singles champion in 1963 and 1964; and won the North American championship in C-1 in 1961 and in 1963.
He also won the Canadian C-4 championship in 1961 and the North American championships in C-4 in 1963. Paul represented Canada in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics placing 7th in the C-1 final.
He was known to come from behind for many of his victories, like the Silky Sullivan horse of fame.
