Frank Csaki
Frank had a life-long love for paddling starting in his native Hungary, continuing when he came to Canada in 1956;
and, lasting until his last race in the Canadian Masters Championships in Dartmouth at the age of 80.
Frank was a Canadian champion in paddling several times including winning Junior C-1 in 1959.
At his best he finished in the top 3 in Senior Singles at CCA for 3 straight years, winning in 1962.
Frank also won C-4 at CCA in 1960 and represented Canada in the North American's in C-1 1960 and C-4.
He represented Canada in Essen, Germany at a World Championship-level regatta in 1962.
When the Canadian Masters (CANMAS) began, Frank lead the way by winning his age category almost every year
setting new age-category standards for all paddlers to attain.
Frank competed and won many medals in the World Masters Championships in Toronto 1985, Aarhus/Dennmark 1989,
Edmonton 2005 and later the ICF Masters in Szeged, Hungary 2011.
Frank trained regularly all summer on the Riviere des Prairie launching from A Ma Baie up until 3 years ago
attaining his final paddling goal of racing in the CANMAS at the age of 80.
